Sarajo Frieden || Ilustrador

I work from a studio in Los Angeles that borders Thai Town, Little Armenia and Koreatown, with Guatemalan and Salvadoran bakeries nearby. The cacophony of hand-painted signs in a variety of languages serves as both inspiration and daily reminder that the ordinary is often extraordinary and nothing is what it seems. A host of disparate vocabularies from the worlds of fine, folk and decorative art, including Persian miniatures, Shaker trance drawings, Japanese ukiyo-e, and my Hungarian great aunt’s embroidery, can be found wandering through my images. Using open ended narratives, folk tales, abstraction and the juxtaposition of discordant images, I try to give form to the human experience as I see it. My work has been exhibited in galleries in Los Angeles, San Diego, North Carolina, Minnesota, New York, Rome, Venice, Naples and Australia.

Benjamin Güdel || Ilustrador

Benjamin Güdel is a freelance illustrator and comic artist based in Zurich, Switzerland. His bump and grind style is reminiscent of pulp fiction covers and cult film posters of the 1950s with a distinct contemporary, politically incorrect edge. Güdel's striking drawings are collected in Blood, Sweat and Tears, a rollicking romp through pop art portraits, pin-ups, pirates and more. Featuring commercial illustrations for clients including Berlin's renowned Schaubuhne Theater, Burton and innovative Swiss magazines "Du" and "soDA" as well as personal projects, this book is an entertaining whirlwind ride through Güdel's work.

Si Scott || Ilustrador.

British illustrator Si Scott is the master of gorgeous, swirly, insanely intricate typography. And, unbelievably enough, it’s all drawn by hand with fine liners. Si has taken his whorls and flourishes and molded them into a series of striking sea creatures for his Infectious art. He imagines them bubbling across your laptop and walls and down the side of a car, like a moving aquarium.
